Mozart, Beethoven, Handel (his Water Music is marvelous)
Never doubt the classics.
Wagner if you're in for heavy opera.... you've never had anything really good until you've sat through the Ring series at full blast on your stereo headphones all night. You think Metal is good? Try Wagner's opera. It'll blow your bloody mind out.

otherwise go back to the psychedelic 60's and start with the classics in Pink Floyd, Iron Butterfly, the old psychotropics.

I'd go for the opera myself.

From what i've got observed, followers of rock tend to be extra laid decrease back and discover it extra handy to take a seat down back. it fairly is ironic via fact that a variety of of the song has a tendency to be aggressive. although, emotionally, rock is very expressive and is a stable outlet for thoughts that one might frequently carry in. Bottled anger or unhappiness can relatively make a individual's well-being decrease, even even with the undeniable fact that bodily they're high-quality. A rock or metallic stay overall performance supplies a woman (or a guy) a place to easily enable all those thoughts bypass unfastened with out appearing on unfavourable impulses that should reason them or somebody else injury. They dance, they mosh, they mingle with their friends and discover popularity from human beings in comparable circumstances with comparable tastes. i think of the known undesirable outcomes must be peer stress and potential exposure to drugs, cigarettes and alcohol and in all probability undesirable sexual circumstances useful outcomes incorporate released stress, as stated above, and a few exercising from dancing or intercourse (after the instruct, we are looking forward to...) Even listening to it on my own on a cd is now and returned the suitable thank you to take a seat down back. analyze have tried to instruct that rock song is the reason for undesirable habit, yet song does not reason the themes any further than a shotgun forces you to drag the set off.

Funeral for a Friend, Evergreen Terrace, Lost Prophets, Mushroomhead, Parkway Drive, and Thursday. I don't like Fall Out Boy either, but you might want to check out Gym Class Heroes anyway if you could stay away from the song that says "Take a look at my girlfriend" over and over. I hope this helps.

Sorry, hun, but you don't listen to metal at all. You listen to this NU commercial metal-core or rap-metal garbage. It's all commercially-oriented and lacks the substance which is a trademark characteristic of TRUE metal.

Now if you want to improve your almost irredeemably average list of music with some REAL metal as opposed to the mainstream MTV ****, here's a list of suggestions:

Dream Evil are one of my fave bands. The majority of the songs they have is 80-ish heavy, with the exception of a couple which are so epic that they put Blind Guardian to shame. (song: Chosen ones) Also, they have AMAZING power ballads.
Edguy (and their side project Avantasia) is modern melodic power metal, lots of keys and polyphonic choruses. Stay away from the last album and single, though, they sold out completely and became radio rock. I recommend "Mandrake" and "Hellfire Club" albums.
Avantasia is a metal opera, with a lot of famous guest singers and musicians. The genre is melodic heavy/power metal.
Sonata Arctica - If you liked the early Stratovarius, you're going to like S.A. Powerful melodic metal, especially "Reckoning Night" album. They tend to exaggerate with ballads sometimes, though.
Gamma Ray is an offspring from Helloween (Kai Hansen). Fantastic heavy/power metal band, one of my favourites. Get "No World Order" and "Power Plant" albums.
Falconer's first two albums are something unique in metal. They are somewhat folk-ish, but not viking or celtic, but renaissancey-medievalish.. I can't really describe it. They don't use flutes and violins and all those weird instrument, but theyjust play medieval sounding music with guitars. I LOVE the first two albums: "Chapters from a vale Forlorn" and "Falconer".
Freedom Call are a "happy metal" band. You know the way Helloween sounds so happy? Add too much keyboards and giant melodic choruses and you get Freedom Call. I love them, but in small quantities. You can't really listen to them for too long, you start seeing pink unicorns! ;)
Full Strike is a solo project of Stefan Elmgren, Hammerfall guitarist. It's solid heavymetal, nothing special but good listening.
Dragonforce, although quickly becoming too commercial nowadays, are the fastest band in melodic metal. The first two albums were really great, with classics like My Spirit Will Go On, experimetal weirdness like Disciples of Babylon and BEAUTIFUL ballads. They're getting too much MTV exposure these days, so n00bs and emos are starting to like them.
Firewind is a band of Gus G, the guitarist. He's been around in a few bands, like Dream Evil, but this one is his own. Solid melodic metal.
Persuader are Blind Guardian after Blind Guardian. If you miss BG's early, melodi/thrasy stuff with keyboards (imaginations era), then you'll LOVE Persuader. They have Thomen, BG's ex drummer.
Tad Morose are darkish sounding melodic metal. Not really that much my taste, but my darling loves them.
