Should I take a pregnancy test? I know the depo can make you not have periods but I just started it. I am 2 weeks late!

I was on Depo for 2 years and NEVER had a period. SO I wouldn't stress. but if you think you're pregnant; go take a test!

Ha. I did the opposite I was on Depo for 3 years and never had a period and got migraines so I switched to the Nuva Ring. You'll be fine if your body does decide that you will have periods on Depo it might take a few months for your system to get adjusted to it. ALSO It is effective 24 hours after your first injection if given in the first 5 days of a normal menstrual period.

If you think you are pregnant get a pregnancy test.

You may not ever get a period, you may not bleed at all even though its two weeks past your first shot. Or you could bleed for months. Its fairly normal.

I would IMO get off the shot right away. TOO many women have too many serious health risks due to taking this shot!

Check out http://www.rateitall.com/t-330-birth-control-methods.aspx and google "depo provera lawsuit" (many class action lawsuits going on).

I was on it for four years and I'm so glad I'm off of it.

Your body is always going to go through changes when changing birth control methods. You may not be pregnant, but it is always better to check because you can harm yourself and baby. So please, check, check, check!! I hope you are ok!
