Hi everyone, I have brought a new laptop, have set it all up and everything, and have put Norton 360 on also. I keep getting a box come up saying Norton 360 is not currently your default phishing filter and would i like to make it my default phishing filter. I don't know what this means so would be grateful if anyone could tell me in easy terms please.
Also because i dont have a mouse with the laptop, how do i right click the screen to find properties because i want to put a screensaver on it.
Never had a laptop before as you have probably gathered so some things are a little confusing.
Thankyou for your help.

A phishing filter filters out web sites that are fake and want your personal information.

An example of a phishing site would be an email you receive tells you that your American Express card needs account information to up your limits. So you click on the link and the web site looks legit so you start entering in your CC #, SSN and all you personal information and continue on hoping you get approved. Well guess what you've just got phished by a scammer. You would never know either because the site looked so legit. We a Phishing filter will see the IP of that site and see that it is not registered to AmEx and will tell you so.

You probably have Internet Explorers Phishing filter turned on. you can disable it in your internet options from the control panel.

To use the right mouse button click the right button under the mouse pad on the laptop.

Hi. To right click there are two pads beneath the mouse-like touch pad. The right one is right-click. OK to set Norton as the default. Phishing is described here. http://www.answers.com/phishing?cat=biz-fin&gwp=13

Just go ahead and hit "yes" when it asks you. Norton is just asking permission to do what you installed it to do.

As far as right-clicking goes, there should be two buttons to click on your touchpad, hit the one on the right.
