Rush is right.

As to the person who answered above and said "What's the point? How many Republicans have won with more than 50%? Certainly not Bush..."

Sorry but you could not be more wrong. Bush won in 2004 with over 50% of the popular vote. Here are the rest of the Republican Presidents who won with over 50% in the last 60 years:

Bush (GW) 2004 50.73
Bush (Sr.) 1988 53.37
Reagan 1984 58.77
Reagan 1980 50.75
Nixon 1972 60.67
Eisenhower 1956 57.87
Eisenhower 1952 55.18

No opinion implied, just stating the facts.

Jimmy Carter in 1976 and L. Johnson in 1964. He is right but Kennedy, Clinton and Truman won with 49.75% and Al Gore won the popular vote in 2000. This link is a good one for election results.

Here are the last 4 Democratic presidents:
Kennedy-----1961-63
Johnson------1963-69
Carter---------1977-81
Clinton---------1993-2001 (2X's)

But what was the point anyway?
