Not a chance. Some cat will come out of the Bullpen, a crazy drunk with his goat will curse the Cubs, or a Derek Lee will walk under a ladder in the club house and some fluke play will cause the cubs to lose again.
Cubs have no chance of doing anything but lose.
Just look at their post season track record over the past, oh, 100 years.

Cubs are going down. Pinella out managed himself, and made the key mistake of trying to win Sunday afternoon's game on Wednesday night and it bit him in the @$$. Zambrano on short rest might not even happen if they lose the next 2!! Haha...sorry Cubs...it's okay 100 years has a nice round ring to it!

GO DBACKS!!!!!

The Cubs will not win because Pinella is not managing to win, he's managing to not lose. Did you see the Game 1 post-game press conference when the reporter asked if he pulled Zambrano after only 85 pitches because he wanted to save him for a possible Game 5? Pinella got real angry at the reporter and snapped at him, and THEN said he pulled Zambrano because he would only have three days rest and he wanted him ready for Sunday.

That tells me that Pinella is managing to not lose - he is not managing to win.

Well, it's do or die time i think.

As long as the Cubs continue to rely on the long ball, they're toast.

They need this game badly, we'll see what adjustments they make. If they make none, sorry, they lose again.

They need to start hitting. Consistency has been their problem all season. Either they tear it up or they slump. If they cannot produce more than 1 run per game, this series will be over Saturday. The die hards we'll keep buying tickets at higher prices next season too.
