Hi everyone!

My boyfriend and i have a stop over in San Fran going home to Canada from our trip to Thailand. We will land around 9 am then have to be back at the airport at 7 to depart. I have a few questions if anyone can help me please:

1) Is there a Victoria Secret store, and where is it?
2) The 2-3 main things to see and do while there?
3) Weather in San Fran in Dec (will be there Dec 21)

I would greatly appreciated if someone helped me with these questions so i know what to pack for our trip home in our carry on.....thank you in advance.

1) there is a victoria's secret. It is in Union Square in SF. there are probably others, but that is the one I know of.
2)the golden gate bridge, Fishermans Wharf/Giradelli square and pier 39 (all in the same area) and Union square (really just shopping) But keep in mind that for a small city it takes a very long time to get around because of traffic. so don't fill your day up too much. plan to be back at the airport very early. Also, the airport is in South San Francisco it is not really in the city, so transportation could be expensive.
3) The weather in December is cold, as it is winter, but Winter in SF is nothing like Canada or New York. We don't get snow, b/c it doesn't get cold enough. B/c the city is on the ocean, the moisture in the air tends to keep it a little warmer. so it ranges between the the 50's to the 30's (that's in farenheit) the coldest part is the wind, and damp cold can feel colder than it is. You should be fine with pants and a jacket.

Victoria's Secret
1. Has a shop in the Westfield Centre Mall (Nordstroms also there) -- on Market between 4th St. and 5th St. (across from Market and Powell St. cable car turnaround. This store is easily accessible from the BART underground station if you get off at the Powell Station stop.)

(415) 882-0864

2. Another shop is located few blocks away from the BART underground station. Walk north on Powell St. and it's located on the 300 block between Geary & Post Streets in the St Francis Hotel building. This is across the street from Union Square park.

(415) 433-967

3. Get in line and ride the cable car. from Powell St. to Fisherman's Wharf. It's $5.00 one way. For convenience, you can buy a one-day (unlimited ride) passport for $11.00 then you can also get on the buses if you choose. Ask for a MUNI map.

Or, adult MUNI bus fare is $1.50 (have exact change and keep the ticket because it's good for another ride until it expires).

There are shops and eating places in the Ferry Building.
If you change your mind about returning to a BART station via cable car, you can catch the trolley from Fisherman's Wharf to the Ferry Building (It's located at the east end of Market St.) and then from there, walk to short distance west on Market St. to the Embarcadero BART station for a return trip to the airport. Ask the bus driver where the stop is to catch the trolley which runs down the Embarcadero to the Ferry Building.

Embarcardero station is on Market St., about 3 blocks from the Ferry Building.

Wear a parka and dress warmly (in layers) in December. Anytime after November, there is no guarantee that it won't rain. But usually, it's just cold.

1. There are Victoria Secrets everywhere - it started in the Bay Area. 865 Market, 301 Clay, 335 Powell, 3251 20th Ave.
2. Alcatraz - touristy but really interesting.
Ride a cable car
Ride the elevator at the St. Francis - best view in town
Have dim sum in Chinatown
3. Count on damp and cool. But - as they say - if you don't
like the weather in San Francisco, wait five minutes.
4. And this is important, don't say "San Fran" in front of
locals - drives them nuts!
