Are Americans just TIRED of hearing how horrible our country is from the so-called elite?

No, this country is not perfect, but it seems that the liberal media takes pleasure in degrading this great nation.

When will libs understand that fair news does not equate to anti-American news?

I like the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth! I like Fox, and their are other sources where you don't have to dig to get to the real facts. I truly do not know why Liberals don't like Fox, as they present a Liberal along with a Conservative to voice their opinions on a given subject.
I can't answer the last part as I am a Conservative.

EDIT: I am educated and hold more than one degree!

Antenna Media delcared themselves the MSM while FOX recognised and did nicely in 1996. Their preliminary reaction replaced into the comparable as what MSNBC promotes, attempting to attack FOX 24/7 so as that they tried to make people believe that they have got been "exterior the MSM" as quickly as they found out that FOX had extra credibility than them after the Exploding gasoline Tank rip-off and the Dan somewhat rip-off they grew to become it around and tried affirming FOX area of the MSM to regain their very very own credibility.

Nope. Probably only 30 percent of all viewers, if that many, watch Fox. The thing is that they are all cons. The only source that is that conservative so their audience is less spread out than the other media. If you take all the others and add them together they leave Fox in the dust. You whine about liberal news media and then tout how popular Fox is. Something doesn't make sense in that argument. But rant on. The more you rant about things you know nothing of or have not really thought about the sillier you look.

High ratings compared to what? The top rated "news" show on cable is Oreilly with around 2 million viewers. The bottom rated MSM news program is the CBS evening news with over 5 million viewers.

No. Sadly, Fox news has high ratings because the average American prefers their news in easily digestible soundbites that are spoonfed to them. Fox has treated the US public like morons for so long that it has created a section that just nod along with whatever it says with the implication that if you disagree then you're not a real patriotic American.

If you truly are tired of mainstream media, Fox is not the answer. Politically motivated news is the same whether from the right or left. Try using independent sources and perhaps you will get a realistic view of the world rather than a neocon/pro war slant.

Since when is Fox fair. BTW, your logic is very skewed. Fox news ratings is down and MSNBC's is way up. And, when you combine the news viewership of MSNBC with CNN, it adds up to more than FOX. So more people are watching other stations other than FOX. Actually, MSNBC is the only one that is rising rapidly. FOX and CNN are dropping rapidly. But what do you expect? Both FOX and CNN are the same jingoistic voice that is all lopsided to the extreme right wing conservative corporate point of view and agenda when it comes to reporting of anything. At least MSNBC tries to bring in alternative voices that actually exist in this country but don't get heard on the other fascist stations like FOX.

"MSNBC posted the most growth in primetime, averaging 518,000 total viewers, up 42% from the third quarter of 2006.

Fox News led the all-news networks in primetime, averaging 1.38 million total viewers, down 6 percent. CNN averaged 792,000 viewers, down 7% from this time last year."

Anyone who gets their information or forms their opinion based on FOX or any other television entertainment program are sadly the least informed in our country.

Do you have a link comparing the ratings? Without the link, I don't believe you due to all the trolls here.

I find all big TV news channels to be more about entertainment than news and information. Like recently I was on a business trip during the OJ arrest, and every "news" channel had the latest developments on it almost all day. Who gives a **** that OJ was arrested. They are all amazingly clueless. I got a good laugh as I was channel flipping, the caption below read in all important bold and colors, "OJ CASE UPDATE: OJ is in a 8x6 cell"

Huh?
because Faux news says they have high ratings we are all to believe it?
Come now. It's just a station. People watch it - sometimes. It doesn't have an inch over any of the other cable news networks. Actually it all depends on whose voice you like. Fox's skinnybehind shapeless bleached blond with the cankles has an annoying whispy voice; the judge, whoever he is is isn't at all intelligent and reminds me of a walrus; CNN's dark-haired vixen look alike has a crass voice which makes you want to scratch yourself, and CNBC's Joe somebody is always complaining.
The fact is no one HAS to watch or listen to these people. They all report the same news, just with different spins. Fox news pats itself on its back as do the others. But they are all dry and silly.
I'd rather read a newspaper or come on line and read news from all over the world.
At least I have a bigger choice.
Fox News is dead to me.
