Lady G,
Thanks for the tip to reregister. I will do that again and "Thank God" for 'Talking Caller ID" on my phone, just wish I could get it on my cellphone.

Yes, I'd heard in the news that the list expires after 5 years. I also saw a big decrease in the number of 'telemarketing' calls I got after I was put on the list. I will re-register before my time expires.

Re List. Or your life will be invaded at all this times when you are too busy. I think that this Call Centre business has gone way too far.
1) They Companies are saving money, by not hiring sales people, and paying them a decent salary.
2) Accepting offers to increase Mortgages and Insurance and other very important issues concerning your private financial details over the telephone, is dangerous. They have no right to expect people to even consider this. But the Government allows it.
3) Most Call Centres hire on a part time basis. Another advantage for the Corporate Companies, and most of the staff are young and incompetent.
4) The rate of staff turnover in these Call Centres is the highest , of all industries.
5) The whole thing just disgusts me.

Actually, I re-registered about three months ago.
I had started to receive telemarketing calls. And I won't tell you some of the things I did to them. It wasn't very nice, I can get a bit outrageous at times. But it worked.
Now, we don't get any!

Yes.....I know in January we should all be bombarded if we signed up before. They have changed the rules since and I know my phone rings off the wall. All people exempt from the do-not call list. Makes you not even want to have a phone anymore. I won't deal with anyone who calls me anymore. If I want your service.....I'll call you. Problem is most these darn places can't be reached once you have their service.

Thanks for the tip. I got one yesterday from a senior medicare advantage program and I already have one. I guess I need to re-register. I use donotcall.gov. It is a free web site.
BTW, I noticed you had lost your face, now have a part of one anyway. Your friend, makeitright. Not daisyduker.
