It's natural to worry about your unborn child. We woman are like that. (Now) Don't worry about it being stillborn. As long as you attend your regular visits, and your baby has a heartbeat, then things should be ok. An Ultrasound (Sonogram),will ease your worries too!. (Good Luck!)

I'm not sure of the actual percentage of still born babies as opposed to healthy babies but if all your check ups have been good and nothing goes wrong during delivery it's doubtful your baby will be stillborn. A baby could die in utero from complications with the umbilical cord, from trauma to your abdomine, or complications during delivery.
My friend Crystal had a stillborn baby but she knew the baby would be stillborn because of the ultrasound - the did a check up and found the baby wasn't growing normally and an ultrasound showed that a hole had developed in the umbilical cord. This was a blow to Crystal and her boyfriend since they previously has a miscarriage but since then they had a son, born last June.
My would-be older sister died just hours after she was born from prematurity but also because she was stuck in the birth canal and her oxygen was cut off long enough to kill 80% of her brain. This is a rarity however and not meant to frighten you - my mother has never delivered a child to term and both me and my brother were also premature and very sick as infants.
The fact that you've had one healthy baby should make you feel more confident about having another healthy one.

Your baby will be OK. You can tell because it moves every day right? Those kicks are everything. And once you go into labor and you are at the hospital you will have all those skilled doctors and nurses to make sure everything goes fine. Its hard not to worry. Try this technique: Close your eyes and picture your child surrounded by pink light (boy or girl, doesn't matter). Now picture them as they age. You'll feel comforted by the color pink, and secure seeing your infant grow into a healthy happy child.

still birth can be caused for many reasons. Sometimes woman experience un-explained stillbirth.
Problems during delivery and problems with the placenta are two main causes. There are also conditions such as hughes syndrome and lupus that can increase the risk of a baby being still born

The facts of stillbirth are kinda scary actually...in America one in every 115 births is a stillbirth. One to two thirds of these stillbirths are unable to be explained (ie, no reason can be found for why these children die).
To relieve your mind, do your "kick counts" every day, and if there is no change in the frequency of kicks, then your baby is doing well.

I don't know the odds. My mom had a stillborn because she fell at about her 7th month. Very sad.
But don't worry about that, stress is a killer! Just dote on the coming birth and your child you have now! Congrats!

a knot or compression of the cord, a bacterial infection, an undetected birth defect, placental detachment. Your chances of a loss are slim, but I know how you feel. I lost my 2nd baby at 19 weeks to a stillbirth, and I have been on pins and needles with this pregnancy. Thank God its almost over!!

i had a stillborn at 37 weeks and 6 days in only july last year, in her autopsy she was compleatly healthly there was absolutly no reasons to be found why my daughter passed....but you shouldn't get yourself worked up about things like this chances are if your healthly and you have had no complications at all and the baby is healthly than your baby will be born perfectly healthly and alive so don't stress about it!!!
