Enterprise just means ambition.
Land ownershiP: many people in Europe were tenants or serfs; they could not own land there.
Equality: social equality, not having to be humble because you're a peasant.
Self-governing by assembly: being able to elect a representative, not having kings and nobles run everything.
Rule of law: laws being followed by all, not people getting to break the law because they're rich/noble.
No nobles: Nobles were landowners and usually ran everything.
Common rights: Rights enjoyed by all, not just the rich.

Don't knw about 8 or 9

Little supervision: the freedom to move to a new place, to work by oneself, to make decisions for oneself, not always under the thumb of a boss.

There were many reasons for the immigration from the old to the new world.

Many fled the old world to avoid religious persecution. I would like to claim that the blame for such persecution was due to just one body, but I would be wrong. All sides (regrettably) were as bad as each other.

Many also left the old world because of food shortages and to escape famine, although this tended to be more the case with the later settlers.

Some left because they were thrown off their land by greedy land owners - for example in Ireland and during the Highland Clearances in Scotland.

There were also some who went to the new world intent on making a "quick buck" - today we would call them entrepreneurs!

Your supplementary questions deal more with economic and political theory and you might get a better response rate if you posted them under those categories. (Sorry if you have already done so.)

my ancestors left Norway because there was not enough land. you can only split a farm into so many pieces before there's nothing left to give to the next generation. my ancestors left Ireland because they were starving to death from the potato famine. they all were free to make their own decisions and didn't have another country (both Norway and Ireland were under another country's rule back then) to tell them how to live.
