As I was watching the Cubs game last night I was pondering this question.
What does the "C" on the cap, or the other logos for that mater, stand for, Cubs or Chicago?
I know that it could mean either one, but I'm sure that when the cap was designed there was one or the other in mind.

I'd guess "Chicago" since the Bears also have a "C"- presumably for Chicago- and obviously "Bears" doesn't start with a "C"...but then again some logos have a big "C" and then a little "ubs" within it. So maybe it's both!

And I concur...GO CUBS!

Wrong chrisraska, the White Sox don't have C's on their hat. Neither do the Diamondbacks or a lot of other teams for that matter. The red C is for Cubs, it's the same C that you see on t-shirts that has the C along with ubs next to it. It's their logo, that along with a cub bear on the sleeves.

typically cub (so called) fan does it really matter, does it really matter, you really should be asking why lou opted to take out zambrano. traditionally visiting teams wear the city on the jersey and home teams have the mascot. so in chicago youll see cubs on the jersey and arizona on the winning teams jersey.
