It all depends on who is saying you are really good.
If your family and friends are saying you are really good, they are just being nice and encouraging, and you may be not that good at all.
If a lifelong musician, traveling minstrel, record producer, eddie van halen, a music teacher, or someone else with an objective opinion says you are really good, then start a band.

Go for it, Its a great idea, I had a band and its a fantastic feeling playing at places and all that.
