It simply will not happen. Though I wouln't mind getting rid of term limits so Bush can run again.

That article is filled with so many mind-numbing absurdities, I can't even begin to count them all.
But most important is that the article doesn't lift a finger to substantiate HOW the Bush White House will cancel election 2008, other than to say, sinisterly but still without substantiation, that some previous Republican President had developed a plan for how to do it. "It's well established that Richard Nixon -- mentor to Karl Rove and Dick Cheney -- commissioned the Huston Plan, which detailed how to cancel the 1972 election." No documentation to prove that statement. It just sits there reeking of Chicken Little demagoguery.
And then there is this statement: "The Supreme Court, as currently constituted, would almost certainly rubber stamp a Bush coup. If not, like Jackson, he could ignore it as easily as he would ignore Congress."
Okay, I'll grant you that the Supremes MIGHT rule in Bush's favor. MIGHT. But Justice Kennedy (the swing vote) has been passed over -- by Bush -- for promotion to be the Chief Justice, so Kennedy might NOT be too inclined to support Bush unconditionally. But besides that point, maybe you and those folks who wrote that article ought to remember the fact that Richard Nixon DID obey the Supreme Court after it ruled against HIM in the famous U.S. vs. Nixon case!

Nobody of any intellectual merit believes the 2008 elections will be canceled.
That's simply foolish fearmongering paranoia, the product of imaginary phantasms and bogeymen.
And he doesn't have the power to cancel the elections at all. At worst, they can be postponed in the event of a major catastrophic event, such as a massive nuclear attack on the US or a major natural disaster, like the YellowStone caldera blowing.
All this paranoid fearmongering over imaginary beasties is evidence of an unbalanced and unhealthy mental state.

ROFLMAO!! Did you see one document to support their paranoid conclusions?? As for the 2000 election, there were dozens of news and investigative agencies that went in after it was all said and done and did a manual recount. Bush won according to most of them.
Granted media outlets like mediamatters.org and democrat.com refuse to accept the facts and even put out stories saying that of all the possible scenarios Gore could have won if 3 or 4 of them came about

I'll bet you -- title to my house v. title to your house -- that the 2008 election takes place normally. Deal? Didn't think so.

Whether it is so or not, nothing that Bush ever did would surprise me.
I'm sure "he" thinks he is a good leader, but he is not.
He is already an American law-breaker, and he should be held accountable after his term expires. but I'm sure that he won't be.
