we've blinds or verticals on all of our abode windows (nicely, and a splash bit a cloth "swag" over my blinds). yet, we used to have curtains/drapes on maximum of our abode windows. And no, the curtains did not adventure the carpet. The curtains have been sort of a colorless off-white or beige coloration. We went by various diverse carpeting hues interior the abode throughout the time of the time we had curtains, so of course coloration matching wasn't an argument! *snicker* I say, flow with what you think of looks suitable and especially, despite the fact that if indoors designers or magazines enable you to comprehend in any different case!

No, I use white lace curtains behind all my drapes and I like a liitle color in the drapes. Contrast effect.

I think so. The curtains are white, and the drapes are dark purple. It works.
