I was kind of confused by the season premiere, I know he got shot, but those flashbacks with Hilda made it seem like he got better...

i know he got shot in the season finale, but how did he die? in the premiere, he was talking to hilda and his wound was bandaged and it seemed everything was going to be okay.
and i've already watched the episode, why would i need to watch it again, and i believe when i ask a question i prefer sensible answers instead of ones that tell me to watch what i've already watched. thank you very much.

Hilda was dreaming that while in her bedroom . that is why at the end betty came in and asked if she would like to help with dinner and when betty opened the door it was all dark and Hilda had a pillow on her lap and she had been crying . good luck.

Yeah I was really confused too!
I was just reading the episode summary and it says that near the end of the season premiere, Betty went to comfort Hilda because after 3 weeks Hilda was still grieving over the death of Santos.
So he died when he was shot, but I still don't understand why they had flashbacks of him lying in bed with Hilda, all bandaged up, which I thought meant that he was recovering from the gunshot! I think that I'm going to agree with all the other people that the scenes were just all in Hilda's imagination, because the second episode was on a little while ago and Hilda was going through Santos' things and people were telling Justin how sorry they were about Santos' passing.

He did get shot and died from that wound
I guess Hilda was just going through a mourning period
The scenes with Santon in the season premiere were just in Hilda's head

IN the season finale it showed that Santos was being shot at a convience store. You can see it at abc.com go to the Ugly Betty site and watch the episode.

I was confused too, but she was just so upset, she was imagining that he was still there with her, and they were still planning their wedding. The thing I don't understand is why Justin's not more upset. Oh well, we get to watch more tonight. =)

he got shot when he was at a convenience store by a robber that was robbing the store..he was trying to help and the robber shot him
