i don't know why i am getting this problem while typing in my computer. when i type " i get @ and when i type @ i get " instead. is there any relation with hot keys or any other problems? how can i correct this? thank you.

-i am using SONY VAIO VGN-C31GH.

Check windows is set to use corret keyboard layout (nationality) as if they are set wrong ( I think US / UK swaps those 2) you get incorrect characters.

Ask Windows helper about KEYBOARD LANGUAGE if you are unsure how to

I'm not sure, but I think Firefox can cause this. Reboot the computer, it should fix it, if it's the same issue I've had.

if this happens to anywhere that you type it might be a problem with the keyboard.. otherwist if its just limited to one program might be a hotkey setup

Some computers just have them that way. Does it really bother you that much?
