There are risks, however there is growing evidence that done properly co-sleeping can actually be beneficial to babies. And while in western society the current recommendations are that a baby sleeps alone, in most parts of the world babies actually sleep with their parents more often than not. No loose blankets, make sure you have a method for preventing falls, and don't ever do it if you have ingested alcohol or medications/drugs that make you drowsy or if you are a heavy sleeper. Yes, SIDS is a real risk, however it also happens to children whose parents follow every guideline for helping to prevent SIDS right down to the letter. I don't sleep in the same bed as my baby that often, and it's mostly for naps, but there have been times, especially when he was younger, when it really seemed like the only way for me to get any sleep at all was for me to take the baby to bed with me. Both of my boys have survived me bringing them into bed with me to sleep. That doesn't mean it's the right thing for everyone, but for some people it does work out well.

Of course! My son always use to sleep in bed with me and the both of us when he was little. Now if he wanted to now- he is 16- the answer would be sooooo NO!

snugging the baby inside u gives the baby confidence and security, the trend of keeping the babies away makes the baby insecure in the adult hood as seen in maxm cases in USA &europe

No because when a child gets used to their parents' bed, they won't want to leave and go to sleep in their own bed.

Only if the child is very ill. Children need their own space as do Mommies and Daddies.

No. A resident at a property I worked for rolled over on her baby and killed her. It was terrible.

No because you could roll over and suffocate them it has been done so many times it's just not worth the risk.
