my 3 year old somehow managed to remove the "enter" button from the keyboard.

I have the removed piece, which has a silver 3-sided rectangle underneath it. I can see on the keyboard where the 2 short sides of the rectangle slide into spots, but that doesn't completely fix it.

anyone know just how this works?

i may have fixed it.... i slid the silver pieces on the sides into the corresponding holes, and it was still wiggly back and forth.... so i pressed to see if the middle section would set. i think it worked!!

Yes, that should be all you need to do. Just fit the tabs into the right spot and push down. It should click into place and not need to be reseated again.

If part of the key is broken and it won't stay on anymore, and your computer is still under warranty, contact your manufacturer and have the keyboard replaced for free. You could also find new keyboards on Ebay for cheap.

Hi, First try "search and destroy" a free malware detection software. I recommend. Secondly, If you use your computer for work. I truly suggest to do what I do. I have 2 computers. One is for work only - 100% clean. safe and I DO NOT surf with it to any unknown, suspicious site. Only well known sites I use for work. The DATA here is critical. The second is disposable - I use it for my hobbies watching video, listen to music trying new software, patches and so on - With this one I know i might fall once in a while and I am willing to pay the price and re- install windows - The data there is not important to me. THIS IRON wall between the two computers is strict with no exceptions. GOOD LUCK

If it breaks again, just buy a new one. They are really cheap. You may be able to find a free one (used) if you look and ask around.
