Trade it in during a "push, pull, or drag" sale at a dealership.

Part Ex is exchanging a Running car for another, You say your car is a Dud, I presume you are in the USA? If you can afford, & depending on the age of your Suzuki, Either replace the Engine, or replace the Big End shell Bearings, The Quickest way, replace the unit, It can be done, up & running in a day.

You need to get rid of the car or put in a new engine. The part exchange means that if you put in a new engine and you bring back the old engine to where you bought the new one, they will give you some credit back because they will rebuild your old one and resell it. No dealer is going to take this car for a trade in but you might be able to get something if you tow it to a junk yard. You can also advertise on Craigs list to see if any mechanic might be interested but you will get less than $100 for it.

A part exchange is where you take your car to a motor trader who sits at his desk, and with a straight face insults you.He offers you so little money because your car is worthless/unpopular/the wrong colour/old fashioned etc. NOW if you sent a friend round two days later to buy your old vehicle, it would suddenly become very valuable/popular/the right colour/bang up to date etc etc. You get the meaning ? If you can, always sell your car privately even give it away if it so worthless, then you can bargain down the dealer on the price he is asking for the car you want !!!

A part exchange is where the dealer takes your present car towards the price of one you're buying from him. You give him cash to make up the difference. As it stands, it's highly unlikely that a dealer would want it, if it were in full running order it would be worth something like £800 - £925 towards another car.

Just as Robert says. You give the dealer your car as part payment for the car you're buying. You will be lucky though as there are two problems with your car:
1. It's not working
2. even if it was working - it's a Wagon R

I'd trade it in with a dealer who offers a good minimum part exchange allowance - say £1000 because I don't think you'd get a lot for it otherwise.

I would exchange my hair. Cause I'd love for it to be naturally wavy.

i think you are reffering to an agree ment to give your old engine back to the suppliers of the replacement for reconditioning.
