Yes it happened to my cousin. She went in for a pap and to discuss with her doctor about starting birth control ills. The doctor prescribed her the birth control and she left and never got her period to start taking her pills so she did a pregnancy test and it was positive. She was 6 weeks along at that point.

Yes it's possible but only very early on in the pregnancy. During pregnancy, the womans cervix almost becomes like a purple color due to all the extra blood flow to that area.
I had a vaginal exam when I was 5 wks pregnant and my doctor took one look and said she could definitley tell I was pregnant. She didn't even bother with a pregnancy test since I had done like 6 home pregnancy tests and they all came back +.

Yes! I went in for my 6 week check up after my daughter was born (it was actually a lot later than that because I had to cancel appointments) anyways, I had my pap done and talked to the Dr. about not having a period yet. They took a test and it came back -. So she told me that if I didn't get one in month to come back in. Well, I waited and went back in only to find out I was 9 weeks pregnant. So the test lied and the doctor couldn't tell yet.

Yes, the only indication of pregnancy during a routine pap is Chadwick's sign which not all women have and doesn't appear until 6-8 weeks.

When you go for a Pap smear test, they run test on the presence of virus in the vaginal canal. The pregnancy test is a different test altogether. It can be determined by your urine. Don't get these two tests mixed up.....whew....women.....
