Most likely, your dd is similar to mine...she just didn't like the textures, so she kept gagging everything up. She was obviously not choking, b/c the food was resting on her tongue. But if I didn't take it out, she would gag till she threw up.
My dd is nearly 15 months and she had just recently started showing real interest in chuncky, solid, or finger foods. She was breastfed exclusively until 8 months...she just didn't have an interest in anything else. At first I worried, b/c everyone was telling me she wasn't getting the necessary nutrients. But she was gaining weight appropriately, never got sick, had the appropriate iron levels in her blood, and our pediatrician wasn't concerned. So all that put me at ease.
Your dd will get used to solid foods in her own time. Just keep offering, but don't force her.

She is not ready 8 mths is still quite young for many finger foods, I would wait abit and try again, My daughter wouldn't even eat the stage 3 at 9mths she hated anything with texture so I left it alone when she hit 11 mths she went right from stage 2 foods to eating finger foods on her own , and now at 13 mths she is eating everything and loving it. I think the key is not forcing the issue and letting them decide when there ready.

i might only wait and attempt lower back a pair weeks or a month later. She is doing great with different issues, there is not any rush. My one 365 days previous son nonetheless would not prefer to %. up something from his tray different than puffs and cheerios. And he `chokes` if i attempt to furnish him some thing to not soft. i'm particular it is going to come quickly, I heard women learn swifter than boys:)

Perfectly normal. Just offer them and let her discover them at her own pace. My niece rarely ate at all till she was one. Now she eats allot of different foods at 16 months. I wouldn't put them in her mouth though. That might turn her off. I know if someone tried to put food in my mouth I wouldn't be that pleased.

Yeah, it's normal. She might be feeling a little bit lazy, or maybe just doesn't like it.
Don't worry about it. One day she will just pick it up and put it into her mouth. She is still young. Continue to feed her cereal and stuff and don't fret

Wait about 4 months before trying again. She could be teething, and these items might irritate her gums.
