3/4x+1 = x+5/6 [multiply both sides of the equation by 4 to get a whole number on the left]

(4) 3/4+1 = x+ 5/6 (4) Multiplying by four, which is 4/1 in fraction terms

3/4* 4/1+ 1*4 = 4*x+ 5/6 * 4/1 Multiplying by 4 gets 3 on its own in order to put "x" with a whole number

3x+ 4 = 4x+ 20/6

Take away 4 to get x on its own:

3x= 4x + 20/6 - 4/1 (get a common denominator, multiply 4/1 by 6)

3x= 4x + 20/6 - 24/6
3x= 4x -4/6

Next, get rid of 4x by subtracting:

3x-4x= -4/6
-x= -4/6
Multiply by -1 to get a positive

x= 4/6
reduce fraction:
x=2/3

To check your answe, put 2/3 in place of "x"

(3/4)(2/3) + 1 = 2/3 + 5/6
6/12 +1 = 4/6 + 5/6 (get a common denominator before adding fractions)

6/12 + 12/12 = 9/6
18/12 = 9/6
9/6 = 9/6 CORRECT!!

3/4x+1 = x+5/6
now change all the x to one side & the other numbers to the other side so

3/4x - x = 5/6-1
-1/4 x =-1/6 ( u get this step by subracting)
multiply throughout with -4
so u get
-4*(-1/4x) = -4* (-1/6)
x= 4/6

u can further simplify this to

x= 2/3

Hope this helps u.

You'll have to clear the fractions. The fractions below are 4x and 6. 12x is a number that is divisible by both.
Multiply both sides by 12x
9+12x=12x^2+10x --- (1)
9 because when you multiply 3/4x by 12x, you have 36x/4x=9. Similary the other terms.
The rest is to rearrage (1) and solve the quadratic equation.
12x^2-2x-9=0

you have to remember first the principal of any equation is when moving numbers or litters to the opposite direction of ( = )you have to change the sign ,example

(-5x =25 ) or (25 + 5x = 0) or (-5x-25 = 0)
now we go back to your problem
3/4x + 1 = x+ 5/6
now put ( x ) in one side of the equation and ( numbers or fractions in the other side of the equation )
so, ......3/4 x - x = 5/6 - 1

now remember that x = 1x
so..-1/4 x = - 1/6
so x =(-1/6 ) / (-1/4 ) or -(1/6 )x( - 4/1 )
( - ) x ( - ) = +
so ...x =( -1/6 ) x( -4) =4/6 =2/3

Is question meant to be:-
3 / (4x + 1) = (x + 5) / 6
18 = (x + 5)(4x + 1)
18 = x² + 21x + 5
x² + 21x - 13 = 0???????
OR is it meant to be:-
3 / (4x + 1) = x + (5/6)
18 = 6x(4x + 1) + 5(4x + 1)
18 = 24x² + 6x + 50x + 5
24x² + 56x - 13 = 0??????
Or is it meant to be:-
(3 / 4x) + 1 = (x + 5) / 6?????

Cannot answer this as question is not clearly set out----sorry!
