Sorry, but it sounds like a cereal.

Maybe as a nickname for something formal, like Charles. After all, the very-similar Chaz and Chuck are common pet forms, and Chax sounds like a literal combination of the two.

I like the sound of it, but he first thing that popped in my head was Chax Mix. If you really love it, it could work as a quirky nickname for Charles. I would avoid using it as a given name, though. It would be a name no one would spell right, or say right.

I was going to say, "Chax Mix," but someone else made the cereal connection first. I don't like it.
I have seen people spell Jackson as Jaxon and call him Jax, but if you're looking for something no one else will ever use, that wouldn't work.

Sorry, it doesn't work for me. Sounds too much like a breakfast cereal or a party mix. Might be a cute nickname (for Charles or something similar)--I have heard the nickname Chaz before.
I really am not into all the invented names these days. I like to hear of people using names that are in the family, or otherwise have special significance to the family. Have you researched your geneology for any interesting names on the family tree?

Horrible. Sounds like Chex mix.

How do you say it? Chaks or Chaz? And is it short for Charles or another name?

I think it would be dreadful if that's what you intend to put on his birth certificate, but it isn't the strangest nickname I've heard.
