Alkyd vs latex is more important.

For latex paints, something like Oops or similar helps, but is rarely a total solution. For alkyd, paint thinner soak followed by straight detergent soak followed by a water rinse followed by machine washing.

Don't expect miracles

If it's water based paint, and it hasn't been too long, you can usually run warm water over the spot and use a small scrub brush to get it off.

Or, you might look at a product called "Goof-Off". I don't know if it's safe for fabrics or not, but it will dissolve the paint.

Also, I used a product called Energine once to get tar off my clothes and that worked pretty well. I don't know if it works for paint or not.

You can get Goof-Off at any place that sells paint. I think I found Energine at the grocery store.

Yikes... Unless it's still wet, you're pretty well S.O.L (shite outa luck).

I have pairs of painters pants and overalls that are a multi-year record of the painting I've done in the last 2 decades.

GOOD LUCK
