What would you think of buying a basket of subprime stocks for a 5-10yr hold?

I was thinking CFC, LEND, BZH, KMX, TRMP, BLG

As enticing as they may look, I'd say it's too much risk: mortgage/homebuilding business is notoriuosly cyclical. The SECTORS will survive and prosper, but your stocks may not.

Risky. I'd go with a "Dogs of the Dow" investment instead. Look at www.fool.com.
