Patch your PC into the router with an ethernet cable. point your browser to the router by entering it's ip address in the browser address bar. login and check the settings. IF you do not know the address of the router look at status/details of your local area network connection it is the default gateway.

When you get the info write it in the outside of the router for next time

Good Luck

In order to even connect to the router wirelessly you will need the network key (assuming WEP key). You can, however, plug in using an ethernet cable and find the key in the router setup. To connect to the router, type in its IP address in your Internet browser (usually http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1).

...and if it asked you for a username and password just type admin and leave the password blank. you should get the router setup page. just look for security and you'll find it there. otherwise you might need to reset the router. hope this helps!Ü

This happened to me. Go to the computer which you already have internet on. Go to ipchicken.com and check your ip. Then type it in the address bar, it will ask you for the username and password. If you know it then type it and go to wireless settings, and you will see the key. The username and password can probably be found in the d-link manual

you need to open up the program that came with your router that should have been installed on your computer. when that opens up you can find the network key to your router. (it should be named under "wep encryption key")

or if you still cant find it, then just reset the router.

You will need to reset your Dlink to the factory defaults and reconfigure it if you no longer have the password. (default is user:admin password:admin)

I hope you didn't loose the manual in the fireplace....
