Yes, because when you are pregnant your hormones change. Your personal smell can also change with dietary changes. Don't use deodorant soaps, use something gentle like Dove and avoid using perfumed feminine sprays, they can be very irritating. You also shouldn't douche when pregnant. If you are very concerned make an appt with your doctor or nurse and they can check for yeast infections and the like. Good luck with your pregnancy.

That's a definite possibility. Your body's pH changes when you're pregnant. My husband was always able to tell me when I was pregnant even before I missed my period because he said "it felt different" when we had sex, like tingly or something. I asked my doctor about it once and he said that as soon as you get pregnant, the pH level in your body begins to change.
One other thing to be aware of is that your sense of smell becomes much sharper when you're pregnant. I remember being able to smell car exhaust from passing cars and my girlfriend was sickened by the smell of the copier in her office. It might not be that your body is more odorous, but rather that your sense of smell has changed.

YEP! How odd huh? I noticed a change in my smell, it wasn't offensive or like that of an affection but definitely different. My husband notices even a change in taste. I just make myself comfortable by washing 2-3 times a day and using baby powder.

I don't have an infection and I noticed that the smell is just more noticable now. It's also more of a metallic or mineral smell, if that even makes sense, it's the only way I can describe it.

Maybe your beginning to have a yeast infection?? Have you been to an OB yet? If not, you should so they can tell you exactly why there is a change in smell. If it is a yeast infection they can tell you which OTC meds you can take while pregnant if it is a Yeast Infection.
What you eat can also affect your smell in your "area". Try eating more fruit, lol, seriously though.

Well, it can change and be different, but I don't think it should be bad. You should check with your doc just in case you do have an infection. Many women get bacterial infections during pregnancy. Some infections can even be sexually transmitted, so better get checked just in case.

If the doc says all is well, it could be something as simple as what you are eating or if you are taking bubble baths. Little things can have an influence on the down below odor

Yes it can but also foods you eat and other things can cause a smell. I have heard that drinking pineapple juice helps. LoL. Don't know for sure, just one of those ladies conversation.

Being pregnant would not be the cause of a change in your scent. What you eat and more probably the prenatal vitamins that you are taking is the cause. Simply ask your doctor.

It could be a bacterial infection. They are apparently pretty common during pregnancy. Have you had your first Dr.s appt yet? They will do a pelvic on you and can tell you more of what it is.
