Trick to this one: pretend (<,>) are an (=)sign:

1.5+2.1y<1.1y+4.5 ----->bring like terms together. By doing so don't forget that when you bring a term over to the other side you change its sign.

2.1y-1.1y < 4.5-1.5

1.0y<3.0

y<3
