So I think I might be pregnant. I am about a week or so late. I have gone through all the symptoms of having my period except for actually having it. Usually right before I get my period my face breaks out real bad. It clears up 2 days before I get done with my period. Also I usually start PMSing about 2 days before my period and stop mid-way through. I have gone through all of this this past week, but no period. I know I need to go take a pregnancy test and I plan on doing that when I get off work but can anyone tell me from personal experiences, their thoughts on this. Also, if I am can anyone give me some advice on what to do from here. I know I will need to puit smoking and drinking, see a doctor, etc... Anything you can tell me will be helpful. I really hope I am. Thanks a bunch!!

You got it right girl. Quit smoking , stop drinking, see the Doc. In addition to that
*Take vitamin - prenatal vitamins are the best, but any thing with folic acid would do ( need that stuff to prevent neural tube defects in baby )
*Limit coffee intake, Stop alltogeather if you can.
* No hot tubs.raising your core temperature—especially during the first trimester—may harm the baby. It's safe to soak in a lukewarm bath, though. Just make sure that the temperature is not above 100 degrees and that you get out after about ten minutes.
*Sustained exercise in very hot, humid weather can also raise your core temperature. When you do exercise, be sure to drink liquids before, during, and after, and if you find that you're heating up, take a five- or ten-minute breather.
*Stay away from cats ( Cat feces may play host to a parasite that causes toxoplasmosis ). If you have a cat It simply means you should put your mate on litter-box duty for the nine-month duration. It's also a good idea to wash your hands after heavy petting sessions with the cat and after handling raw meat. Don't feed yourself or the cat undercooked meat (which can harbor the parasite). Wear gloves when you're gardening and avoid children's sandboxes. (Roaming cats may use these as litter boxes.)
* Beware of certain foods. Uncooked, soft cheeses (such as feta, Camembert, Brie, and blue-veined varieties), unpasteurized milk and the foods made from it, and raw or undercooked meats, fish, and poultry may contain listeria bacteria.
*Many prescription drugs are off-limits during pregnancy. If you take something, check with your doc ASAP.
*Certain Over-the-Counter Drugs my be risky too. Meds such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and certain cold preparations, can cause problems for your baby, don't pop any pill without your doctor's approval. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is fine.
Good luck. God bless.

Basically the first thing you need to do is take a pregnancy test. Even if there is a faint line that looks positive, it probably is. You may want to take two to be sure you get the same results. You can buy the kind that has two or three in a box. The next thing to do is go to the doctor. Most places you can just walk in during a certain time in the morning and they will give you another preg. test. Their tests are basically the same as the at home test. They will set up your first appt. and then tell you where to go from there. In the meantime you should def. stop smoking, drinking alcohol, and limit your caffeine. Take the test!! I never could base anything on my symptoms!! Good luck!!

With my son I had all my period symptoms and then didnt have a period. I tested several times and never got a positive. I ended up having to have a blood test to show that I was pregnant. That isn't typical though. I was just low on the pregnancy hormone with him. With my second daughter though I kept thinking I was going to start my period any day and then nothing happened. About three weeks after I was supposed to have my period I started having morning sickness and my breasts started getting sensitive. If your test turns up negative that doesnt mean you arent pregnant so still make sure not to drink or smoke or any of that. If you dont get your period in a couple of weeks and your tests still say negative, go to your OB/GYN and get examined. They will know if you are pregnant from an exam and blood test. Good luck and best wishes!

That's a lot like how I felt right before I found out I was pregnant, I felt like I for sure was going to start my period, but never did. I was too nervous to take a pregnancy test because i previously had a miscarriage, and I was scared. I stopped drinking immediately. After a few more days, I took a test and it came out positive. I bought some prenatals, because I knew I wasn't going to be able to get in to a doctor right away. When I finally DID get in to see my OB (at 11 weeks) she said I was very healthy, as well as the baby.

it sounds like you definitely could be! early pregnancy symptoms are very similar to pms. take a test today... it should come up with an accurate result as you are already late.

If it comes up positive, make an apointment with your dr. to get a blood test done so they can confirm it...at this point your dr. or nurse will give you some pointers as well.

For now, stop drinking and smoking, cut caffiene and take naps when you feel tired. Start taking a prenantal vitamin asap as well. You can buy SeaBands for your wrists or eat ginger for nausea. Also, make sure you have maternity benefits on your health insurance policy as this will help immensely on all your trips to the dr. in the next 9 months!

Good luck!

every woman's body is so different and unique. just when you think you've got your own body figured out, it changes again! Truly only time can tell. I got a lil confused with the numbers and all, (I'm at work working with numbers) but if you think you might be, you should stop the smoking and drinking right away. Take a test in a few weeks, or if you are dying to know, you can ask your primary care for a Hcg (blood) test which can detect pregnancy earlier than a pee test. I wish you luck, let us know!

when I was pregnant I got symtoms that my period was coming but it never did. so its definately possible. once you get a + test you will need to just call your dr inform them you got a + preg test and they will schedule you for an appointment. your on the right track as far as the smoking and drinking. some people act as if pregnancy is a illness. it really isnt, you can do the same things you always have done(besides drugs, smoking and drinking of course). Good luck and I hope you get the result your hoping for :-)

it somewhat is a gorgeous thought! i'm not imaginative adequate to return up with a recognition yet there have been good ones stated already. i might advise having team who's friendly and openminded to those who do not prefer the comparable issues that all of us else is doing. Say I are available in and prefer a coloured gown with sleeves. I already comprehend i glance terrible in white and ivory so please do not advise I attempt on those colours and misinform me that i glance great in them. I additionally am not soft in strapless (maximum churches do not enable strapless first of all) and that i'm topheavy which isn't a flattering combination, yet while i circulate in the different bridal salon, they attempt to tension me to get a white strapless gown however if i prefer one or not. additionally an on-website seamstress is a could. i might additionally upload an determination that brides can are available in and customize their gown in the event that they do unlike what they see already made. not all of us has kinfolk who can stitch for them so as that provider may well be favourite besides, because of the fact they'd additionally attempt on particular kinds to be certain how particular aspects certainly look on them previously beginning the gown. do not overprice issues. each and every thing advertised as 'wedding ceremony' immediately is going up in cost x10 once you will detect the comparable element this is in many cases extra clever high quality someplace else devoid of the bridal packaging for a fragment of the cost. as an occasion, there is not any reason a veil could cost upwards of $a hundred while crafty brides lead them to at domicile below $20 or a tiara could cost $50 once you will get one only as superb for $10 at Claire's. on the comparable time, do not cost issues so low which you do not make a residing.

What you need to do is not get yourself worked up for one. And you definetly need to take the test. You may be pregnant but you also may not be. If you are congratulations. I would recommend that you contact your local health department and see if they can help you find a doctor (if you don't all ready have one). And they will be able to direct in any way that you need assitance.
