I lost mine in bits and pieces for about 3-4 weeks leading up to labour... I never had any kind of bloody show at all though.

usually a lost mucus plug means that labor is right around the corner. If you are close to your date, then make sure you have everything prepared. I don't recall ever losing my plug and my water didn't even break. My contractions came out of nowhere one evening and within a couple hours they were 5 min. apart. I was only dialated to a one at the hospital, but the contractions every couple minutes were the worst pain in my life. It all happened so fast & not like I was expecting. Good luck and be ready, and remember it's all worth it once you hold your baby in your arms for the first time.

I had several times like that - starting about 33 weeks. It was gross every time it happened. I didn't believe that it could happen more than once. However the day I went into labor it happened like 3 times in a few hours. I think that as you loose the mucous your cervix begins to thin out/efface so it's a good thing but it could be a while. How far are you?

If theres no bloody show then you still have more to loose. I didnt lose all mine for two weeks, just pieces here and there, and it wasnt until I was in full swing labor that I lost the rest.

It is a sign that labor could be on its way, but you can loose your plug and still go for a few weeks. Hang in there - the baby will come when its ready.

That was your mucus plug. It is normal. You should start having contractions soon. It isn't always bloody...

yeah you can have more than one "show" as docs and midwives call it. i have had 4 shows and still not gone into labour. and i am now 5days overdue. it won't always have blood in it but it may have because of the cells it was attached to. good luck girl!!
