Ive been told that before, has anyone else heard of this?

yes i heard of this too. but it depend on which red i suppose, i saw one temple in tibet and it is in deep red, i feel quite peaceful there. a bright red for my room, i definily go insane

No i had a girlfriend that had a blood red room with flames on the ceiling and I never went Insane

I've never heard of that, my friends living room is painted red/maroonish and it doesn't make me go insane.. I like it.. lol

My foyer is painted red and it looks gorgeous. Some people even paint their bedrooms red. Don't believe the hype...

My front room is painted red.... and I'm totally sane, well mostly sane.
