We are having a boy and I like these 2 names bc they are not very common. I have chosen (so far) the name Ezra Kallao as the first and middle names. However, in the event that other names come along I just wanted to know which one of the previous two names do you like better for us to "try to keep" according to any new names we may find to also like? If you would like to give suggestions WHICH INCLUDE one of our names, feel free for more ideas.

I like Ezra because it is a biblical name. It means "Yahweh helps." Ezra was a priest and a scribe. He is even thought to have written the Chronicles and Nehemiah. Ezra was a great teacher and establisher of the law of the Lord.

Out of those two names keep Ezra
Kallao sounds like something out of a Superman Comic Strip and also not easy to pronounce

Ezra Elijah
Ezra Porter

Michael Ezra
John Ezra
Robert Ezra
Stephen Ezra
Thomas Ezra

I really like the name Ezra. Kallao, not so much. I wouldn't know how to pronounce it, though I would try kaLAoh if I saw it on an attendance roll.
Ezra James
Ezra Daniel
Ezra Nathanael
Ezra Jack
Ezra Miles
Ezra Thomas
Ezra Stephen

I would pick Ezra. I'm not sure how to pronounce Kallao.

Ezra is definitely a boy's name. There is a book in the Old Testament called Ezra. He was a prophet.

I'm not sure about Kallao - is it "ka-low" like in allowed?

And I don't like Ezra because it reminds me of the band Better than Ezra, which I think sucks.

Ezra is okay, but lose Kallao.......part of the problem is that most people can't read and therefore will not be able to pronounce the names....if your child is strong and doesnt mind the ignorant teacher who can't properly pronounce his name etc., then go ahead...but having had a difficult name to pronounce which always required me spelling it out....its a drag.

good luck

the names are very feminine. maybe ira instead of ezra. is it pronounced kay-low? there was a female artist named frida kalo. don't worry about how common they are. worry about a adult having to be taken seriously later in life.
