No, not at all!
I worked retail and I know how things can be marked down for no other reason than the manager's whim.
I just thank my lucky stars that I found it before anyone else!

No, it isn't fair. I would contact the headquarters or the owner. The last time this happened to me, I noticed that I was charged for two pairs of jeans when the sign said 2 for the price of one. I didn't notice until I got home because my husband took them and stuff for himself to the register. When he called (he's better at that than I am), they said the sign should have been taken down, but he talked nicely about honoring what is marked (big chain store we shop at a lot) and they refunded the money. Another time, back when there were clerks in department stores, I said I would put back everything if they wouldn't give me the discount on a towel for which there wasn't another one like it in the store and I got the discount. Sometimes you don't get what you ask for, so I remember where this happens and try to shop elsewhere. I am always nice but persistent. Now, if something was obviously in the wrong rack or stack, I would let it go because a customer, not the store, moved the item. If the price was on a tag on the garment, that should be honored unless somebody was obviously trying to cheat the store. So, complain.

Generally that is the case, or the shelf life of the item is going quick OR, the store needs the shelf area for the next item that is in shipment and its less expensive to get the aged item off of the shelf so that the new item can occupy it. Sinage alone can help or harm a store, and I used to stock in a commissary so I think I am on track with this one. :) -Rachel.

no, well it depends, some items are marked down because they have been on the shelf for too long and nobody will buy it at the price they have it as. other times they are running special deals in hopes people buy them. but if it looks like a p.o.s. or that it will break right when i take it out of the box, no i won't buy it.

Not always, but I do look it over a bit more carefully just in case.

Yep, that's me. I become very leery of the product, especially if it's food.
