Sometimes she has heavy bleeding with back pain and stomach ache. Bleeding is too heavy.Though she says she doesnt feel weak, doctors have asked her to take haemoglobin tablets. For few months she took allopathic treatment but that didnt give any results. She is now taking homepathic treatment. Ultrasound scan reports show that there is fibrous uterus. Is this something serious? Is there any particular treatment for this?

i have read all the above answers and none of them are satisfactory enough.
she is perimenopausal -fibroids are caused due to excess estrogen, so after menopause fibroids usually shrink and cause no problem, she does not need surgery if she is not bleeding heavily, but do ask her to take iron tabs coz even minor bleeding may lead to anemia.no harm in homeo treatment.
fibroid is a benign growth and usually dissappears by the time her menses stop permanently.but anemia is definitely a problem.

What is 'happening' to your mom is called perimenopause ... and that causes ALL of the 'bad stuff' that is happening to your mom. Take her to a GOOD ob/gyn for a 'full workup' and then do what they tell her to do ... and be 'brave' because it's going to get 'worse' before it gets better ... wait until she starts having hot flashes and night sweats, and seems to go 'crazy' ... but also be reassured that about six years after she's been through menopause, she'll be 'back to normal' ...but she may not go through menopause (one full year with no periods) for another five to ten years.

Usually the doctors would probably recommend a hysterectomy for your mom, so she won't have any further complications, but of course then there is all the hormone replacement therapy she'd have to undergo, which may cause breast cancer, so it can be a bit of a risk.
