This is because she refuses to, for once, dress modestly and not do seductive dancing. Why is this? Apparantly it is her way of protesting against the country's Muslim rule to dress modestly. What do you guys think of this?

I do think she needs to be less skimpy. She is supposed to be religious after all. Malaysia is full of Muslims but what confuses me is why Beyonce can be able to do her concert at the neighbouring country of Indonesia instead; it's also one of the world's highest muslim populated country in the world.

Just want to clarify on this. Both Malaysia and Indonesia are Muslim countries but not Islamic countries and in no way Malaysia is ever officially sanctioned as an Islamic country. What's the differences? The countries are Muslim countries by virtue that the Muslims comprises majority of the people and is governed by a Muslim dominated government. Other example of a Muslim country is Turkey, although being extremely secular. I think what you mean is Islamic country, which means a country that fully adopts Islamic laws (Syariah) as the law of the land. Only few countries claim to be ones like Iran and Saudi Arabia. But this is highly disputed as many doubt they really follow real Islamic laws and the fact that they are followers of Shia and Wahhabism respectively (which are not really accepted by majority of Muslims, other than for political purposes). So, even Muslims in Malaysia knows that Malaysia is not an Islamic country. The best you can describe Malaysia is a secular country that favour Muslims, but nothing more. Lastly, you may want to review your statistics. It may be correct in Sarawak that Christians are more than Muslims, but in Sabah is the other way around. It may be true that non-Muslim Sabahans are slightly more than Muslims, but still the Muslims is the largest religious group in Sabah.

She has all the right to refuse and protest against the country's rules. I appreciate her guts. I do not support her in dressing and neither do i agree with her seductive dancing but i believe that in a democratic country let people have freedom to choose and decide. If anyone does not agree with her sense of dressing let them decide not to go for the performance but it should be an individual decision not country imposing law for it.

i don't think its soley because of the dress code or the fact she can't dance "seductively". but more to do with the fact that she'd have to completely change the whole format of the show. as when your on tour you plan it for months in advance and you do the same show in every country you go to. but malaysia are saying she can't do all the stuff in her show. it's sad her malaysian fans won't see her perform as they are as much fans as anyone else in the world but its more than likely that show would not have been what they expected in a beyonce show as they obviously know what beyonce's like and how she performs as they are fans so they probably would have been left feeling slightly robbed.

I agree with Beyonce. First off, they knew what type of performer and image she had before the concert was even scheduled to tour in their country. How can you sign up a performer to entertain and then demand that they change their entire image while performing for you? That means that not only her wardrobe would have to be changed, but her entire performance! That's ridiculous!

It's her body, and her artistic presentation, and their rules. When the two don't match, she gets to decide if she wants to play by their rules, and they get to decide if she gets an exception from those rules.

Gwen Stefani made the opposite decision, and decided to cover up and perform so that her fans in Malaysia could see her. I can't say that either performer made the wrong decision.

I think she is very arrogant, have u ever heard her talk. she is very uneducated. im sure malaysia would be happy not to have her. Gwen stefani was also told the same thing but she accepted and dressed appropriately..thats because she has respect for the muslim community...beyonce can dress like a skank all she wants.

Surely Malaysia should deal with their people first before they begin giving out such rules.....Malaysians themselves dont dress decently,I respect what Beyonce did.....But then again, rules are rules.

I think malaysia is extremely lucky now they dont have to put up with some horribley nasty prima donna making ridiculous demands maybe she should of gone and pissed them off then they might of cut her head off or something.

I think good for her, why should she change, she`s not slutty at all so maybe if Malaysians want to see her they should relax their modesty rules!
