1.) From Illinois. Growing up they were CRAMMED down my throat. They were not good, but you would have thought they were the Yankees.
2.) When they got the super station and the dreadful Harry Carey they became the yuppies' choice. In the stadium these drunk buffoons became intolerable. And they don't know a THING about baseball!
3.) They are called the 'Cubbies'. I wretch every time I hear that.

I don't hate the Cubs, but their fans are very annoying.
I'd love to see the Cubs as a team do well, but until a new owner comes in, forget it.
I agree with the "shoved down your throat" thing. Cub fans are oblivious to anyone else here.
Mr. Wrigley as well as The Tribune Co. were and are only interested in filling a ballpark. There's no commitment to winning. It's the bottom line.
Wrigley field is Chicago's largest bar on game days. That pretty much sums it up. It's "in" to go to a Cub game and call your friend and say "hey look at me".

I'm a lifelong Sox fan, so I could go on & on all day. One of the things that annoys me the most is how their team can do so poorly every year, but their fans still talk smack. All they do is go to the games to get drunk & look at the ivy. Yay. Everyone loves Wrigley, but it's falling down! They had to put nets up on the ceiling to catch falling debris for God's sake! Anyway, I guess my biggest complaint would be the mouthy fans... not that us Sox fans don't get mouthy, but at least we got a Series.

I don't hate them, but they are a most puzzling organization. They blame Bartman for their most recent post season blunders, have blamed an animal curse as their reason for decades of failure, refer to themselves as Lovable Losers, and now we've seen the mental meltdown of a future HOF Manager take his Ace out of a ball game in which he is dominating to preserve him for a possible (i.e. IF NECESSARY) game 4. How could anyone be a fan of this organization? Nobody wins a championship when they carry this much denial. I couldn't support a team that isn't in it to win it.
Why don't I like them though? It's not possible as a Cardinal fan.

I personally don't. I actually used to be a Cubs fan. Then I got tired of them losing so I became a Braves fan. One thing the Braves can say that the Cubs cannot...It hasn't been almost 100 years since we won our last World Series title.

When they are playing the D-backs in post season play. Good thing the D-backs won last night. Too bad Jose Valverde didn't make some sort of crazy face when he got the save. He always makes a crazy face.

Would it be possible to rephrase your question without using the word hate? Baseball is about enjoyment for all fans and the 30 major league teams are there for everyone to enjoy, not hate. Pull for your team to win and let the Cubs fans pull for their team.

Lifelong 'Stros fan here and they've forever been one of our biggest rivals. That and their players aren't admirable or classy in the least.
