If you look around us today you see workaholics. People spending all their time doing things they dont want to do.
Being people they dont want to be.

My mom works with people with mental disorders and whenever I went to visit her at work...they might have been insane, but they were much happier then the people I see everyday.
They were happy about the little things.
They were happy just to see a bird sitting on their window ledge.

Why is it that the insane people have more love for life then the sane people?

I like your sensitivity in choosing the term "mentally challenged people". your right, they can be, or are indeed, happier than most of us "sane" people but only because they are far removed from the "reality" that we face but is unfortunately denied of them. We can do only so much except to pray for their well being.

Human conceptual mind is dual and this means that all people identified with the mind are insane. We cannot accept this so we have made insanity something judged by degrees. The most insane go to asylums because there is not room for everyone with mind to go. Dual mind is constant conflict. Yes-No, Good-Bad, Right-Wrong. Judge not and we will be beyond judgment!

well, seeing that I have never been mentally ill, I really don't know if they are happier. I do know that I wouldn't want to be mentally ill because they really have no control and can't make sensible decisions for themselves. At least if I am a workaholic or doing things I don't want to do, I will still have my sanity to make a change if I know my life is heading no where.

Yes! You are right. .Because they don't have to first look around and then act or say some thing.
