I have heard a lot fo people claim lately "All people fear death..."
And that is not true. Because I dont fear death. Whats the point in fearing something that is coming no matter what you do?

Yes, I would prefer to not die in PAIN I would prefer to not die TOMORROW, but I dont fear it.

Who else does not fear their dying day?
Who does?

I think you hit on something when you said you prefer not to die in pain. I don't fear death, the process maybe.

I have been at the death bed of 2 people in the past few years. One was a person I knew through church and the other was my father.

Both of them stated that they weren't afraid to die, they just didn't want to go through the process.

So I do think that most people fear the possible pain. Not death itself.

Good question!

I fear dying because it is the fear of the unknown that is hard to accept. I don't know HOW I will die. Also, I fear what would happen if my children were still very young. I am afraid of pain. But, all that said, I am not afraid of what comes after because I know where I will be for eternity!

I guess it's not really death that I fear, but the thought of dying without accomplishing my dreams. That would really suck. But other than that, I don't fear death. We're all going there. That's a certainty. It's only a matter of who goes first.

NO... I don't fear it at all... Years ago, I was shot down in Laos and I just KNEW I was dead because that was the usual thing that happened if you were shot down there. My back was broken in 2 places and yet, I was rescued and spend a year in surgeries and recovery... I actually thought I was dead when it happened and ever since then, I have had no fear of death... it's just another part of life, as far as I'm concerned.

no I have never feared death, because death is just another part of life, and while I do not believe in fate I believe that god already knows how our lives will pan out and he will always try to lead us to do what is best for us so if we are trying to follow his will then we will meet the end that he has planned for us ...it is only of not doing everything possible that I could do in this life to benefit gods work that I fear

I prefer to plan my affairs as if I was going to live forever, but live each day as if it was my last one on earth.

I'm not sure what that has to do with fear. Obviously, is something crops up that has a serious chance of killing me, I do feel some fear, and quickly take action to minimize the odds of expiring. But it's not something I dread on a day to day basis.

I do have to fear death b/c I know what's coming next. I know my Savour lives and waits for me in Heaven. I'll be leaving Earth behind and going to heaven to see loved-ones I've lost throughout the years. It will be a great day!
