I use cloth bags when I remember to bring them into the store - I'm terribly forgetful. If I don't, I choose based on the items I'm buying and what I need at home. I use paper bags for recycling and plastic bags for scooping the cat litter box. Also, sometimes I don't use a bag at all, if I only have a few items.

NOpe, I've got a few "Bags for Life" - I use these whenever I do a big shop.
Annoyingly, though, the Tesco Expres opposite us has just put in self checkout tills which beep madly when you put your bag for life in the baging area, so you have no choice but to use the plastic ones. Great forward thinking, Tesco - NOT!

plastic carriers...there the only choice we have...and if I could choose paper I wouldnt as I just dont fancy the chance of paper ones tearing and my shopping dropping on the floor and busting thus wasting food and money.
I mostly use those bags for life where theryre strong and last for loads of shops then if they tear/break etc they replace it free.
