How can they be so ignorant?? This was all over our local news yesterday and today they said that ABC apologized.. Most of us filipinos don't accept.. I mean, there are Filipino doctors in America. How would you feel if this happened to you??

Im a doctor in Davao City. I made a great software that will eventually computerize the unreadable prescriptions of doctors. Americans havent perfected theirs yet but I do believe I got it! All my prescriptions now are computerized. I was even invited at UP-PGH last Sept 28 to talk about it. I am aiming to make the Philippines the first to eradicate illegible handwritten Rx way ahead of America. Lets see what Hatcher will say once this happens. Rather than getting angry lets work on something great and lets prove them wrong.

why be so sensitive about such thing, it is a comedy show and you know it not the truth, there are a lot of good filipino doctors in the united states and the fact that they did pass their test and exam and permit to practice their profession in the united states means that they are qualified, if they are not then it is a slapped in the face of the AMA for them to let such person to practice medicine in this country. the Philippines produces a lot of people working in a lot of professional fields not only in the USA but all over the world and before they do they pass a very, very stringent test and most of them do pass them with high marks, sometimes better than the locals. So don't make a big deal out of this and just let it be and don't be too sensitive with such a thing!! There are more important things to worry about!!!!

I don't watch Desperate Housewives, anyways. Their attempt at humor misfired, although I'm not surprised. Their scriptwriters should be fired, not for offending but because they're just not good. There are much funnier shows on TV. The Office...now that's a funny show to watch. Desperate Housewives?...that's basically a show for women who fall for that sort of unintelligible garbage. They probably should add laugh tracks so their mindless viewers can know when to laugh.

I am for the Filipino doctors because not all of them are a product of questionable school. There are Filipino doctors who contributed much in the field of medicine. Terry Hatcher should have been responsible enough and called the attention of the scriptwriter about that remark because it is to her which the reaction of the ones affected by such remark will bounce back.

As a japanese person I thought it was rude to all of the Asian culture and Dr's across the world and I think ABC doesn't understand that the Asian culture is different than any other culture in the world. We may come from different countries but we lend a hand and help each other out and have fun with others. I have a friend whose Flipino and she is upset over this.

My profession gets insulted every day, I am a massage therapist, What I do is GET OVER IT!!
Maybe you should do the same thing. Everyone knows that television is fake and you should not take any of it seriously.
I mean really, a TV show insulting someone and them getting mad. What a childish move.
Well you could sue them and get a few bucks if you want.

Well I have to say I've insulted Indian doctors like the dipshit I have as one, who I don't think went to medical school, so who really cares its TV!!!??
Really I think you need to get away from the TV before you end up like my mother in law .... Sitting on her fat *** staring at it for 24 hrs straight and eating 3000 calories while watching big brother
And I have Filipino family and I don't even care

Bigger things to worry about in this world. I worked with alot of Filipino nurses in Calif. Lol, I used to get the strangest look when I asked them if they liked Balut.
