My mom read them to me, and I read them to my girls. they loved them.

Those were the earliest memory of my mom reading books to us, we went to the library which we thought so exciting and then we started our adventures of Petercottontail and Mr Mcgreggor. thanks for the memory,I haven't thought of that in years.Must have been in '47.

I think that was more of a UK
or British thing. I loved Beatrice Potter mainly for her
drawings of the little animals.
The stories didn't mean much
after a child reached about 11.
At least not American kids.

Yes they are just a delight. My kids are grown with kids of their own but they still love them. ABC has them on the TV and I always watch if I happen to see them on.

i just know the potter's peter rabbit. awesome that your mom read to u then you read to your girls. my mom never read any book to me, i wish i could read it to my future children. personally i think peter rabbit and some of his friend r neat and cute looking characters.
