I have 2 little cory cats - I basically now just let them eat the flakes that fall to the bottom. (I give the tank an extra feeding in the dark before i go to bed when the other fish are sleeping to amke sure they fall to the bottom. I used to feed them sinking pellets but those things make a huge mess - are flakes sufficient for the cats?

Well, pellets are basically flakes that have been squished together. I basically would just give them maybe half of a sinking pellet.

yes flakes are sufficient, ...you could use the pellets as a weekly treat, .....all cats are bottom feeders, so they also eat the waste and anything else that collects on the bottom, you sound like a good fish "mom", wish there were more like you!

Flakes are OK,but your Cory's would benefit greatly from having some plant material in their diet, such as rinsed smashed peas or blanched lettuce or zucchini.
