Personally I bought Webroot's Spysweeper, their product is great and well worth the money. Watch Best Buy ads because sometimes it goes on sale for $10 to $15.

Are they complete pop-u.s.a.or a small balloon coming out of your from down through the clock? Do the popups say "Messenger Service" any in which at the name bar? What is the product it is attempting to promote you? Please edit your query with extra know-how.

Ad-Aware, Spybot and SuperAntiSpyware are the programs I currently use to eliminate popups, spyware, and adware from my computer. They are well-written, and do not add popups or ads themselves.

SuperAntiSpyware (free)

Spybot S&D (free)

Ad-aware SE Personal (free)

Check for updates before booting in safe mode and performing a full system scan, in case a newer version exists.

If it is your antispyware program on the computer, then read the message, they usually tell you what to do. If you do not want to see the warning message, most have a box on the dialog box to check so you will not see the box again or set options not to show a warning.
