Say someone was born without a brain. Would they have died? Or would they just have been paralyzed? I know this may be a stupid question but I'm not thinking straight. D:

No brain they wouldn't be alive at all. No chance. The brain controls the heart beat, the muscles, everything.
It is like asking-Can I use a computer and type without the Tower , just the screen.
There are however, people born with half a brain, and th ebrain learns to function on one side.
Some people lose a piece of their brain and lose a function of their body or personality.

Yes, they wouldn't survive because the brain is connected to the Central Nervous System of the body and is the 'command center' for body functions.

Our brains control and regulate almost every autonomous function (breathing, moving etc)in the human body. So we would cease to be alive without a brain.

we would not be here. people wouldnt have the knowledge on how to reproduce. and they also wouldnt know how to walk or get food.... theyd basically be dead. though i swear some people are born without a brain!

Your brain tells your body to breathe, eat, sleep etc so you'd be dead without it.

no seriously...jellyfish have no brain or neural structure...plants have no brains too but theyre alive.
i think they would live their life as vegetables thought that would be kinda mean since its not a very plentifull way to live for a human and it would be a hassle to constantly feed and check up on said person.
