He says by wearing an American Flag Pin on his suit he would be demonstrating support for the IRAQ war. I contend that this type of thinking, automatically disqualifies him from being a real contender for President. We have troops in combat, in harm's way. Wear it to honor them. One's love for your country should have nothing to do with disagreeing with an official policy. The American flag should be above politics or partisanship. Do you disagree?

Not wearing the American flag lapel will be the final nail in his presidential bid. Bad mistake pandering to the liberals, there isn't enough of them to put a one in the White House.
Up next: Mrs. Clinton's next big mistake...can't be to far behind.

"Right after 9-11, I had a pin. Shortly after 9-11, particularly because as we're talking about the Iraq war, that became a substitute for, I think, true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of importance to our national security. I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest. Instead, I'm going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great and, hopefully, that will be a testimony to my patriotism."

I agree that the American flag should be above politics and partisanship, which is why I object to your attempt to make a partisan issue out of Obama's decision not to wear one of those lapel pins.

Or should it only be above partisan politics as long as you agree to wear a pin? (In which case it is no longer "above", but has become a fundamental prerequisite for political participation).

B. Hussein Obama is just showing how immature he is, and how he will stoop to ridiculous levels to grub for votes. This decision is just about as stupid as Jimmy Carter's decision to boycot the Olympics because the Soviets had invaded Afghanistan. Boy, our absence really taught those nasty Soviets a lesson, didn't it? They just mopped up all the glory and medals.

Obviously, B. Hussein Obama does not understand the word "Patriotism". A patriot will support the tough decisions a country makes. He does not pick and choose which of his country's decisions to support. Patriotism is similar to the concept of friendship. A true friend will be loyal even when his friend is not perfect.

Obama is just a lightweight. He only gets press because he has a talent for speaking well. If he were a pudgy, middle aged white guy, no one would listen to him.

Obama and "given2fly " are jokes.

It's our flag,it represents us.
It doesn't represent any one political party or group,it belongs to all of us.
Wear it,fly it or not, just respect it and all it stands for.

This would be all over the internet if it was true. I've checked on google and yahoo search, and got no matches. It's simply not true.
