I accept as true with all a million, 2 and 3, inspite of the shown fact that the two would be on your income. area of the undertaking, truly is to appreciate the character, not strictly the actress interior the movie, yet, additionally greater than a number of what occurs relies upon who's directing this, their imaginative and prescient, and how they choose you to portray the character. not many good directors help you stretch too a great way from what they choose, or bypass so a great way as to point that's okay to make the character your very own, with any gildings. needless to say, in an unique, by no ability formerly produced, they may be truly greater versatile, yet WSS has been accomplished generally, and probable superb interior the unique on Broadway. nevertheless, it won't be able to harm you to make your self familiar on all fronts.

I watched it in high school. And I was required to write a comparison/contrast essay about West Side Story. I like it. Maybe I will be able to show it to my kids, sometime if it's out on DVD.

Yes. I loved it too. We went with our best friends to see it. Our two husbands, afterwards, joked for years about gang members wearing ballet shoes.
I liked it most for the music. And though I didn't see this particular airing, I've seen it within the last few months. It's kinda dated, but it's still "cool".

West Side Story has been one of my favorite musicals since the 60's. BTW, the NY neighborhood where it was filmed no longer exists; it was razed to build Lincoln Center.
