This is the time of year, in which it is advocated, to prepare your lawn for next spring. You can seed all those bare spots, and then put down a fertilizer. Something with a high nitrogen content, for this time of year. The best time of day is in the early evening, to put this stuff down, as the dampness, caused by either rain or dew, helps the seed to germinate, and the fertilizer to be released, into your lawn. It is a little late in the season to put down a grub killer, but you can do this in late April or early May, and still get good results. Scotts Lawn Care products has a website, where you can sign up for bulletins on lawn care, on a seasonal basis. Obviously they want to sell their own product, but once you get started, I find that some of the other less expensive products will work just as well. Hope that this helps.

since I do not know where you live and what kind of weather that you have. The best person to ask is someone that takes care of lawns like a professional that knows the type of lawn that you have, see if you have a feed and seed store there or a lawn care company that is there where you live. I hope that helps you out some.

You need to thatch it and aerate it and then spread a good fall fertilizer. In the early Spring spread some moss killer and Spring fertilizer and you should have a beautiful lawn all Spring and Summer.
