Not in my case, no. My son has a fairly "common" name (he's also a Junior), which, ironically, is no longer common! I find it amusing that so many people are striving to name their child the same "unique" name. As a result, there are usually a multitude of Jaydens, Braydens, Aidens, Madisons, Kaylies, etc. in my son's playgroups and other classes. However, when people hear my son's name, I get comments such as, "Oh, I love that name! You really don't hear it much nowadays." As much as I like the name Aiden, I think I would be kicking myself if I had picked it for my son.

No regrets
I have a GRACE EMILY and a SARAH JOANNE
both girls names suit them and at the time (19 yrs ago) Grace was not a common name being used so she grew up quite unique (which is exactly her personality!!)

as for Sarah all the songs esp the Fleetwood Mac song (Sara) just makes me think of her she is 'the poet in my heart' and amazingly she is a fantastic singer!

Guess parents nowadays is different from last generation. Parents nowsdays do really spend time and effort to decide a name for their child. Guess we are already start to do research on our child name once we know the sex of the child when we are 5 months in pregnancy!
Therefore parents should not feel regret in picking name for their child.
In fact, I name my girl ARICA not realizing that if you add a 'f' to it, it will become AFRICA! HA HA

I called my son Saul. I think its a beautiful name, and it really suits him. However, I never anticipated all the people that would call him"Sol", or "Soul". I am forever correcting them, and I never wanted that for my child. my other child Grace has never had such a problem.

I think when you kids are born you love them so much that it doesn't matter what you've named them. Whatever it is you will now associate with something that is yours and wonderful.
