No matter how much we disagree or hate to hear something, nothing should be censored unless we are trying to limit the development of ideas and progress.
People want censorship because they are threatened by the loss of power or authority.

Nah.

You know that if Hillary does get into office, it'll be the Christians to get booted from any radio. Everything will be just fine, that is if you want to talk about Islam, or some other religious topic.

Though the House of Rep. is a little bit off the subject (and question), it wouldn't surprise you that they observed and commended the Holy Day of Rama-something. What about seperation between church and state? Why is it such a BIG deal to commend Christ's birth? I guess the seperation thing means every religion ok except Christianity.

Anyway...those who don't agree with liberals usually are the ones who agree with the truth.

Only if you are a Bolshevik or a Nazi.

Or the Left’s best friends Chavez & Castro.

Notice how on Leftist blogs they defended Chavez's oppression by pointing out the fact that the protestors where “lily white” or European… This is who we are dealing with here in America. They are cut from the same cloth.
Marx states in the Manifesto of the Communist Party:

You must, therefore, confess that by "individual" you mean no other person than the bourgeois, than the middle-class owner of property. This person must indeed, be swept out of the way, and made impossible. (Published by Progress Publishers, Moscow, 1973 edition, page 66)

Even Pres. Obama made it sparkling that the strikes of an untreated mentally unwell person won't be able to be blamed on different persons's politics, so i don't think of this would be an effectual concern interior the long-term, to justify censorship. nevertheless, there are people who do choose to censor comments they don't accept as true with. i don't. To me, variety is the spice of existence. What this experience could practice us is that we choose greater effectual techniques of dealing with those mentally unwell persons who pose a danger to themselves or others.

No. However, radio station management should regulate their programs so that there is less vulgarity, lies, distortions, filth, and 'shock value'.
Media 'personalities' such as Shawn Hannity, Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh and Howard Stern are amoral, despicable representatives that only serve themselves while destroying the very fabric of American decency and respect for others. Eventually, the tide will turn and viewers/listeners will tire of the outrageous sensationalism these moderators spit out every day, simply because there will be no further heights of pig slop worth trying to attain.
Then America's media will return to gentler, more respectful 'talk shows' that provide intelligent accord, and will enlighten and inform listeners instead of brainwashing them. -RKO- 10/04/07

Nope. If the Fox News pundits want to be stupid, they have a right to be dumber than a sack of hammers. Hillary & Pelosi really went overboard in this one.

No. We are free to listen to what we want. If there is something we don't want to hear,we have the option to turn it off. If parents are afraid something terrible might be said in front of their children, then they shouldn't have that particular show on for their kids to hear. We all know which shows are appropriate to have on in front of our children.

No. 1st Amendment. Technically you can say whatever you want on the radio/tv, but its the FCC that rules what guidelines you have to follow. Such as, cursing on air, certain words you can't say, certain things you can do after a certain time etc...

Nope, the only "censorship" should be what it always has been; if you don't like what you're listening to, turn the channel or turn it off.

If enough people don't like a program, it will not succeed.
