Kayboff, those are words to live by. I've heard of so many people that are monetarily wealthy, but miserable. And just the reverse. It's how you use what you have and who you use it with that gives you true happiness.

I agree they just make the best of everything they have. However I have all so met people who, at first, seem to be the happiest people around, yet later found that they were only putting on a front. For in reality they were sad, lonely and scared

I have had nothing, and I have had everything. I must say that when I had nothing, I appreciated things more. It gave me a great sense of achievement to save up and buy something that I needed. Fortunately that was when my children were young, and they have the same outlook as they learn ed from experience. Now, I guess, I am a bit self indulgent, but I have learned that having money and possesions does not bring happiness. Good health, friends,family, and an enjoyment and appreciation of things around you, does.

That is so true! I have always believed that we don't miss what we never had ." Things "can never make us truly happy. They might keep us occupied ,but not for long. Sharing and caring for others is the secret to real happiness.
